Alice works in a call center in the outskirts of Zurich, selling internet subscriptions and insurance deals to strangers on the other end of the line. After work she walks through the city, which seems to function without any friction. Inspired by her job, she calls lonely grandmothers and pretends to be their granddaughter in urgent need of money. With this trick, she quickly makes a fortune.

Cyril Schäublin

Born in 1984 in Zurich, Cyril Schaublin studied Mandarin and Cinema at the Beijing Central Drama Academy in China. In 2006, he moved to Berlin to study at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin. Cyril Schaublin signed several short films such as MEIN BRUDER, DER RABE (2006) and PUBLIC LIBRARY (2013). His work was presented at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Museum of Modern Art in New York and at Kunsthaus Graz. In 2013 he took part in the Filmmakers Academy at the Locarno Festival. In 2017, he co-founded, with Silvan Hillmann, Seeland Filmproduktion in Zurich. THOSE WHO ARE FINE (2017) is his first feature film.
