LE PRINCE
Synopsis
Two people whose lives could hardly be more different meet in Frankfurt’s train station district. Monika is in her mid-forties and is directed by a curator of the city’s art and culture scene. When she accidentally gets caught in a raid, she meets Joseph, a Congolese businessman who is looking for investors for a diamond mine in the Congo and is currently making ends meet with import/export deals. This unusual encounter leads to an intense love story. But while the two believe they can withstand all external resistance and prejudice, mutual distrust gradually creeps into their relationship. Their lives inevitably become a stage for post-colonial conflicts. Is it possible for Monika and Joseph to love each other as equals?
