A tradicional Mostra do Cinema Europeu, um dos eventos mais aguardados da Semana da Europa em Brasília, acontece entre os dias 13 e 22 de maio. Com filmes premiados nos principais festivais europeus, o público poderá assistir a 11 longas-metragens disponíveis gratuitamente para exibição online, em sua maioria inéditos no Brasil.
A proposta curatorial é apresentar um pouco do que há de melhor da produção cinematográfica européia recente e, ao mesmo tempo, trazer temas relevantes no debate de diversidade, direitos humanos e ambientais, justiça social, migração, tolerância, igualdade e cinema de impacto. A seleção inclui documentários, dramas e comédias de 10 nacionalidades europeias (Alemanha, Bélgica, Eslovénia, Espanha, Finlândia, França, Irlanda, Itália, Polônia e Portugal) e 3 co-produções entre países.
A realização é da EUNIC Brasília (Associação dos Institutos Culturais, Embaixadas e Consulados de países membros da União Europeia) e da Delegação da União Europeia no Brasil. A produção e direção de curadoria é da Sétima Cinema.
The traditional EU Film Festival, one of the most anticipated events of the Europe Week in Brasilia (Brazil), takes place between May 13th and 22nd. With award-winning films at the main European festivals, the public will be able to watch 11 feature films available for free online, most of which have never been seen before in Brazil.
The curatorial proposal is to present some of the best of recent European cinematographic production and at the same time bring relevant themes in the debate on diversity, human and environmental rights, social justice, migration, tolerance, equality and impact cinema. The selection includes documentaries, dramas and comedies from 10 European nationalities (Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland and Portugal, Slovenia, Spain) and 3 cross-country co-productions.
It is organized by EUNIC Brasília (Association of Cultural Institutes, Embassies and Consulates of European Union member countries) and the European Union Delegation in Brazil. Produced and curatorship direction by Sétima Cinema.
