Synopsis
A young Colombian woman living in Germany is confronted with her past when a recording of a ritual unexpectedly resurfaces in the middle of a romantic date. Filmed in a forest on VHS magnetic tape, the gesture is simple: hands covering with earth that which they wish to let go of—a payment and a plea for forgiveness. Through popular beliefs, eccentric personalities, and objects that cling to the skin, Consecration turns rituals into thresholds for piercing or mending grief.
