The European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK is pleased to invite Senior and Junior Ambassadors to enjoy fine European cinema from the comfort of your home!
We are offering you 20,000 SPECIES OF BEES by Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren, one of the movies nominated for the LUX Audience Award 2024, to watch online between 1-10 March. We selected this film based on its availability for a UK audience and appropriate age rating for a school/college audience (the film is rated 12+).
The LUX Audience Award is a joint project of the European Parliament and the European Film Academy, in partnership with the European Commission and Europa Cinemas. The award celebrates European cinema and it aims to raise awareness of Europe’s social, political, and cultural issues.
For its 2024 edition, five films have been nominated by an independent selection panel, and the winner will be chosen based on ratings by MEPs and the audience. The film receiving the highest ranking will be the winner of the LUX Audience Award. The winner will be announced at the LUX Audience Award Ceremony, which will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels on 16 April 2024.
