Movies that Matter believes in the power of film. To open eyes to human rights and promote discussion on social justice, we support screenings of socially engaged cinema. Besides our annual Movies that Matter Festival in The Hague, every year we offer all diplomatic missions of The Netherlands the opportunity to organise film events in the context of International Human Rights Day, 10 December.
This year we also enable online screenings of this Human Rights Film Programme, in cooperation with Dutch diplomatic missions in several countries. As such we hope to stimulate human rights dialogue, activism and civic engagement in many parts of the world.
