CinéSchool: Supporting French Learning Through Cinema
CinéSchool is a free educational film program for young audiences, designed to help students learn French in the United States through French-language cinema. It is part of the French for All initiative launched by Villa Albertine and Albertine Foundation.
Reserved for French teachers in the U.S., CinéSchool offers a curated selection of French and Francophone films for students from elementary to high school. Each film is accompanied by comprehensive educational resources, including teacher and student workbooks, interactive quizzes on Genially, and oral activities on Padlet to create a rich and engaging learning experience.
Students watch the films individually at home, here on FestivalScope, using their teacher’s login over a designated weekend. Registration by a French teacher is required, as access is limited and films are available by invitation only via email.
